Qualifying for the event got underway and the first three Late Model heats were completed before the rain came and postponed the remainder of the event. A total of 33 Late Models were on hand looking for one of the 30 starting spots in the 36th running of the event.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic is the final event in deciding the 2014 \u201cKing of the Road\u201d Late Model Championship. Defending Thunder Road Champion Derrick O\u2019Donnell of North Haverhill, NH came into the event with a 22 point lead over two-time \u201cKing of the Road\u201d Nick Sweet of Barre. Sweet unofficially gained six points over O\u2019Donnell in the heats that were completed cutting the lead to just 16.<\/p>\n<p>The remainder of the stock car racing program has been rescheduled for Monday, September 1 with the fourth and final Late Model heat set to roll out at 1:30pm. The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be in action.
