(September 17, 2014) – In July, Rob Fuller Motorsports brought a contenting race car to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event. Todd Szegedy, driver of the No. 15 15-50 Connection Chevrolet, led 15 laps of the race, but unfortunately the day ended with a DNF due to a mechanical failure. This weekend, the RFM team is seeking to recapture the success of the day and finish it off with a win.

Szegedy has a knack for racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He’s the defending race winner and has an average finish of 9.8 in 24 starts at this track.

“The way I look at it if we finish without having an issue, we are going to finish strong,” said Szegedy. “Everywhere we’ve raced we’ve been a contender to win. We’ve just had mechanical issues and some bad luck. I won this race last year and I always wish we had more races there because I like it so much.”

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m. EDT following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. Considering this fact, the team is preparing a different setup on the car.

“The truck race prior to the modified race is going to play a bit of a factor,” said Szegedy. “Goodyear tire rubber affects the way our cars handle. Generally, that’s what your first 50 laps are for anyways. The way I approach it is the first 50 is when you adjust your car and get prepared. The last 50 are what’s important.”

“We had a great car in July and unfortunately, the fuel pump went bad,” said Rob Fuller, team owner. “We’re going back with a little different set up because we’re running after the Truck Series and it should be about 15 degrees cooler so we’ll see how it shakes out. A win at Loudon would be huge for our sponsors and LFR Chassis. We have to catch up to Burt (Myers) in the win column!”

SHREWSBURY, Mass.
