{"id":17939,"date":"2015-02-17T04:36:01","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T09:36:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/?p=17939"},"modified":"2015-02-17T03:53:27","modified_gmt":"2015-02-17T08:53:27","slug":"granite-state-pro-stock-series-drivers-looking-ahead-new-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/2015\/02\/granite-state-pro-stock-series-drivers-looking-ahead-new-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Granite State Pro Stock Series Drivers Looking Ahead to New Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Tommy-OSullivan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17940\" src=\"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Tommy-OSullivan-300x151.jpg\" alt=\"Tommy O'Sullivan\" width=\"300\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Tommy-OSullivan-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Tommy-OSullivan-1024x516.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Tommy-OSullivan.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Walpole, NH- With the 2015 schedule fast approaching; the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) kicking off the 11-race series on April 10-12, drivers are preparing their rides in hopes of a strong season with the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tommy \u201cThe Shadow\u201d O\u2019Sullivan\u2019s 2014 season did not meet his standards, even though the Wilbraham, MA driver finished in the Top 10 in points (7th) and recorded six (6) Top 10 finishes. \u201cWe made changes that didn&#8217;t work out last year, and ended up struggling the whole year, with both cars actually,\u201d O\u2019Sullivan said, speaking of his brother\u2019s car, 2013 champ Mike O\u2019Sullivan. \u201cThis year we are going back to what we know to get back on track.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With Claremont back on the schedule in 2015, O\u2019Sullivan has that race circled on his list. \u201cI\u2019ve never been to Claremont, so that will be interesting, but I&#8217;m also looking forward to Lee, for sure. We went backwards, performance-wise, at Monadnock, so we are hoping to turn that around from last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Sullivan is quick to recognize the people behind the scenes, as well. \u201cMike Fields builds the motors and is the Crew Chief. Frankly, I wouldn&#8217;t be able to race without him and what he does for me,\u201d admits O\u2019Sullivan. \u201cAlex grab is our main guy on both cars. He&#8217;s invaluable. Mark Hilton, Rick Petig, Bob Polumbo, Paul Nadeau, my nephew, Chris Buffone, and, of course, Bob Fill, who builds the chassis, and helps with everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another driver looking to add to his 2014 race season is Cory Casagrande.
