(Tuesday, March 24, 2015) &#8211; Fantasy racing has returned to the Verizon IndyCar Series with today&#8217;s launch of the #INDYRIVALS Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone. INDYCAR&#8217;s newest fantasy game allows fans to become Team Manager by fielding a four-driver lineup for each Verizon IndyCar Series race with a stockpile of prizes on the line each week as the stars of the series go wheel-to-wheel for race wins.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The rewards are substantial, highlighted by the ultimate grand prize &#8211; a VIP experience at the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 2016 &#8211; and supplemented by weekly prize contributions from Firestone, Verizon, Sunoco and others.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The #INDYRIVALS Fantasy Challenge driven by Firestone is a great way to further engage our fans and get them even closer to the Verizon IndyCar Series action,&#8221; said C.J. O&#8217;Donnell, CMO of INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. &#8220;Our partners at Firestone, Verizon and Sunoco have provided a great prize package for each week and we felt the grand prize of a VIP experience at the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is a great reward for our season champion. I know a lot of us at INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are already planning which drivers to pick for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fans score points by selecting the fastest four-driver roster for each of the 16 races, but they&#8217;ll have to manage the salary cap as they balance their lineup between Indianapolis 500 winners, Verizon IndyCar Series champions and young up-and-coming INDYCAR stars.<\/p>\n<p>Participants also can create their own league in which they can compete among friends, family and an expert panel of INDYCAR insiders and celebrities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.
