Crosby took the top place in 2nd heat race of the division, and had his car locked in for the feature as well. Despite two yellow flags, and one red flag for incidents on the track, Crosby held on to the top spots after grabbing the lead, and held it for all the remaining laps to the checkered flag. He was followed by Jeff Overlock, Jr. of Hermon in second, and Jeremy Scott of Carmel in third place.

Kris Matchett of Skowhegan led the way to the finish line in the caution free Darling’s Ford Sportsman Division. Point’s leader who picked up the heat win finished second, while rookie Trey Brown of Winterport took home the third place honors.

It was tight, side-by-side racing in the Dysart’s Late Model division, with all four of the top car’s in tight up against each other for every lap. Brenton Parritt of Steuben and Deane Smart of Bradley were almost touching each other for the whole event. Deane led most of the laps by a bumper length until the final lap, when a risk was taken to try to go three wide out of turn four, causing Andrew McLaughlin of Harrington to hit Parritt hard, pushing his car over the hood of Parritt’s enough for both drivers to fall out of the top three. Smart held his hard fought top spot to victory lane with Donny Blanchard of Orrington joining him in the winner’s circle in second, and John Curtis, Jr. of Hermon in third.

A single caution flag for the feature event in the Street Division aligned the field for Bobby Seger, Jr. of Winterport to race to the checkered flag in the first race of the Pine Tree Waste Street Series. Seger’s car was totally set-up for the track and the division, allowing for sever to lead the way for all 30 laps. The hard charging Chris King of Turnham followed him for the second spot, with Brad Norris of Ellsworth taking advantage of the caution to grab the third spot in victory lane.

RESULTS (TOP 5)

Coca Cola Company Sport Four

            Car # Driver Town

1. 62 Andrew Crosby Hermon

2. 31 Jeff Overlock, Jr. Hermon

3. 2 Jeremy Scott Carmel

4. 24 Gary Richards Exeter

5. 50 Brock Worster Kingman

Darlings Ford Sportsman

            Car # Driver Town

1. 17 Kris Matchett Skowhegan

2. 7 Shane Tatro Levant

3. 33T Trey Brown Winterport

4. 3 Michael Overlock Franklin

Dysart’s Late Models

            Car # Driver Town

1. 24 Deane Smart Bradley

2. 77 Donnie Blanchard Orrington

3. 23 John Curtis, Jr. Hermon

4. 26 Andrew McLaughlin Harrington

5. 27 Brenton Parritt Steuben

Pepsi Street Division – Series One of Three

            Car # Driver Town

1. 18 Bobby Seger, Jr. Winterport

2. 29 Chris King Burnham

3. 8 Bradley Norris Ellsworth

4. 19 Zack Audet Skowhegan

5. 11 Keith Ogden Holden

Speedway 95 returns to racing Saturday Night May 23rd with racing in Late Model, Street, Sport Four plus an appearance by the Outlaw Super Series of Maine and Wicked Good Vintage Racing Association.

Speedway 95 News Release 05-16-15 by Bill Butler (guest Announcer for May 16 & May 23, 2015 (Hermon, Me) Mother Nature held off what look like impending rain Saturday, to help Speedway 95 could get another race date in the books for the young season.
