{"id":19467,"date":"2015-07-23T10:50:44","date_gmt":"2015-07-23T14:50:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/?p=19467"},"modified":"2015-07-23T10:50:44","modified_gmt":"2015-07-23T14:50:44","slug":"derek-griffith-granite-state-pro-stock-series-returns-to-lee-usa-speedway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/derek-griffith-granite-state-pro-stock-series-returns-to-lee-usa-speedway\/","title":{"rendered":"Derek Griffith, Granite State Pro Stock Series Returns to Lee USA Speedway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_15151\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15151\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15151\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Derek-Griffith-Victory-Lap-Crystal-Snape-Photo-e1437453159813.jpg\" alt=\"(Crystal Snape Photo)\" width=\"300\" height=\"239\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15151\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Crystal Snape Photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>LEE, NH \u2013 The Granite State Pro Stock Series will return to Lee USA Speedway (NH), on July 24, for the Seacoast 100.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Seacoast 100 will be the seventh race of the Granite State Pro Stock Series\u2019 (GSPSS) season, and marks the second time running at the Lee, NH 3\/8-mile facility.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Point-leader Derek Griffith is excited to return to the track where he picked up his first pro stock win.\u00a0 Griffith won the Pro Stock version of the season-ending Oktoberfest at Lee USA Speedway in 2012.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLee (USA Speedway) is definitely a sentimental place because of the first win,\u201d Griffith stated. \u00a0\u201cI&#8217;d love to get another win there. \u00a0I have no lack of faith in [team owner] Louie [Mechalides], or the car, so it will just be on me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Griffith will be looking for win number four of the year, after picking up his first win on the tour at Claremont Speedway (NH), in April.\u00a0 Griffith believes his recent success on the GSPSS is a direct reflection of his team.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Griffith continues \u201cWe are definitely not a team that just loads the car up at one race, and unloads it the next. \u00a0We do as well as we do because we work almost every night on the car. \u00a0It&#8217;s a whole separate job from regular work. \u00a0The car\u2019s fast because we put the effort in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even though there aren\u2019t many nights when the Mechalides team is not under the hood of the FEP Insurance\/Motorcycles of Manchester Toyota, the team is still together.<br \/>\n\u201cThe members of my team are all friends;
