The Hudson, NH native is looking to secure his first Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) Championship.This weekend the GSPSS will invade Star Speedway as part of the 50<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Star Classic and will stage a 100 lap event on <span data-term=\"goog_249831984\">Sunday September 12, 2015<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Griffith, the driver of the No. 12 MOM\u2019s of Manchester\/LCM Racing Toyota Camry leads the second place point runner of Barry Gray by 30 points entering the second to last points counting event. \u201cWe have two events left; we are very excited to be racing as part of the prestigious Star Classic this year. We always run well there. The last time we raced there, we grabbed a victory\u201d Said Griffith.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That victory on June 27<sup>TH<\/sup> at Star Speedway by Derek was part of a hot streak that he series had never witnessed. It was Griffith\u2019s third win in four events and really cemented his place as the point leader.<\/p>\n<p>If Griffith is able to visit victory lane this weekend, it will catapult himself into a tie with Matt Frahm for the all-time series wins list with 5.
