(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway and NAPA Auto Parts will usher in the 2016 season with the 45th running of the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler on April 22-24. NAPA Auto Parts is the Elite Corporate Sponsor of Stafford Speedway and title sponsor of the track\u2019s marque events, NAPA Spring Sizzler, NAPA Fall Final and the uniquely formatted NAPA SK 5k.

Last year\u2019s NAPA Spring Sizzler saw Woody Pitkat become the first hometown driver in the race\u2019s 44-year history to win \u201cThe Greatest Race in the History of Spring\u201d while the NAPA Fall Final saw Doug Coby take the checkered flag on his way to three consecutive wins to close out the 2015 season and propel him to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship. The Spring Sizzler was also a precursor in the race for Stafford\u2019s track championships. Rowan Pennink, Michael Bennett, and Al Saunders were all victorious in their feature events during the Sizzler weekend and went on to claim the track championships in the SK Modified\u00ae, Late Model, and Limited Late Model divisions. This year\u2019s Spring Sizzler will have a special 45-lap SK Modified\u00ae feature event as an homage to the race\u2019s 45th year of existence.<\/p>\n

The NAPA Auto Parts Springs Sizzler kicks off on Friday, April 22 with a practice session for Stafford\u2019s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series teams and U.S. Legend Cars teams. The Sizzler continues on Saturday, April 23 with practice, Coors Light Pole Qualifying for the NWMT, qualifying heats and consis for the NWAAS and Legend Cars divisions. The day will wrap up with feature events for Stafford\u2019s SK Lights, Limited Late Models, DARE Stocks, and U.S. Legend Cars teams. The NAPA Spring Sizzler on Sunday, April 24 will commence with the interactive NAPA Pit Party followed by feature events for the SK Modified\u00ae, Late Model, and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the NAPA Spring Sizzler and the NAPA Fall Final Weekend are available and on sale now at the Stafford Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $38.50 for adult general admission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is priced at $42.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor Speedway offers free parking with overnight parking available. All tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday admission and all ticket prices include 10% CT Admission Tax. <\/p>\n

Stafford Motor Speedway is affiliated with 40 NAPA Stores in Connecticut, 14 stores in Massachusetts, 4 stores in Vermont, and 1 store in Rhode Island for a total of 59 NAPA Stores.
