The Hudson, NH native would frequent the track as a child and would cut his teeth racing in entry-level race cars there and at Star\u2019s sister track, Hudson Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>Griffith will return to Star Speedway on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1729448220\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday, September 10<\/span><\/span><sup>th<\/sup> as the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) races as part of the 51<sup>st<\/sup> annual Star Classic weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The GSPSS will have a 100-lap event and will showcase Pro Stock drivers from around the region. Griffith, the 2015 champion of the series is excited to return to Star, \u201cI always love competing at Star, every time we come here, we always have a great car and are fighting for the podium.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The last time the Granite State Pro Stock Series visited Star Speedway [June 27, 2015], Derek and his No. 12 Hitman Industries\/Provencher Insurance Toyota won the event in dominating fashion.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Derek has competed part-time on the GSPSS this year and has grabbed a pair of second place finishes in as many starts.
