Taking home a $300 bonus from Magnus in the Limited Late Model division for the 2016 season is Colchester native Bryan Narducci, driver of the #28 DP Motorsports Chevrolet.

Narducci made the move into Stafford’s Limited Late Model division after spending 6 seasons moving through the ranks of the Wild Thing Kart Series on Monday nights. With over 40 wins to his credit in the karts, Narducci took over the #28 DP Motorsports machine that David Arute had piloted to 11 wins in 4 seasons of competition. While Narducci struggled in the early going, he found his groove midway through the 2016 season and drove to 2 wins during his rookie season.

“At the beginning of the year it was a little difficult but after the first couple races we started to figure out the track and the car,” said Narducci. “Then we figured out what adjustments to make to the car. I had a lot of help from Paul and David Arute that helped make the transition much easier. Once we got everything figured out, we had the car set up decent by the middle of the year. The rookie bonus is awesome, I can’t thank Magnus enough for putting that money up for us. I was really hoping to win Rookie of the Year but to finish as runner up to Frank L’Etoile is still good.”

Along with his 2 wins, Narducci collected 6 top-5 and 13 top-10 finishes during his rookie campaign. Narducci was neck and neck with Frank L’Etoile, Jr. for much of the 2016 season in the race to win Rookie of the Year, but several bad finishes down the stretch relegated Narducci to the rookie runner up status.

“I’m happy with how our racing went,” said Narducci. “It was a surprise to get one win, I thought maybe a couple of podium finishes would be it. To get our first win only 9 races in was awesome and then to get a second win, that was amazing and crazy. I’ve always wanted to win a race at Stafford and I was able to fulfill that dream this year. We had a good run for rookie until a couple races to go and we had a bad finish and then we flipped the car in the last race which pretty much ended our chance at rookie of the year.

With the knowledge and experience that Narducci gained during the 2016 season, he thinks that he and the #28 team are primed to make a run at the championship in 2017.

“We got a couple wins and top-5’s and now next year we can go for the championship because we know what we need to do with the car,” said Narducci. “As long as we can stay out of trouble, I think we have a shot. 2017 will be better because we’ll know what to expect right from the start. I have to thank Mosquito Free Organic Mosquito Control, even though they won’t be back with us next season, they started us out on the right foot this season, Preece’s Auto helped us with fuel all year, Cooker Construction, Big Haus USA, DP Motorsports, Cliff Nelson Motorsports, Bruce Batcha, Waddell Communications, Flynn Motorsports, R.A.D. Automachine, Mike V., Stafford Speedway for giving us a great facility to race at, NAPA, Mr. Rooter, and John Holland from New England Racing Fuel, Sunoco Brand for their support this season.”

Bryan Narducci Wins Magnus Racing Products Limited Late Model Rookie of the Year Runner Up Bonus at Stafford Motor Speedway (Stafford Springs, CT)—For the second season in a row, Magnus Racing Products presented a Rookie of the Year Runner up bonus for the Limited Late Model NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division.
