The racers showed off their<br \/>\n2010 cars and had a chance to give them a turn around the newly<br \/>\nreconfigured and resurfaced dirt track.  Racers and fans alike got a<br \/>\nfirst look at the completely renovated racing facility.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nWhile drivers, owners, and crews caught up after the winter break,<br \/>\nphotographers made pictures, and fans admired the freshly painted<br \/>\ncreations, the cars were judged.  The Best in Show went to Russell<br \/>\nChristian\u2019s #07 and Jamie Bezanson\u2019s fantastic #13 \u00bd won the Late<br \/>\nModel division.  Super Street went to Mark Brown, the Bandit division<br \/>\nwas taken by Aliscia Smith, and James Hanson walked off with the<br \/>\ntrophy for the Sprint division.  The immaculate #07 modified of Jim<br \/>\nLowery Jr. from Tilton won the modified division and also the honor of<br \/>\nmaking the first official lap on the new track.<\/p>\n<p>After the \u201cbeauty contest\u201d, any drivers that wanted to try the new<br \/>\ntrack were invited to suit up and line up for a few laps.  Each driver<br \/>\nwas given 10 laps alone on the track to get acquainted with the new<br \/>\ntrack configuration   First out was Jim Lowery with his modified.  The<br \/>\nracing lines quickly developed showing the fast way around the \u00bc mile,<br \/>\nclay, D-shaped oval.  After months of renovations, it was great to<br \/>\nfinally see and hear cars in action at the complex.<\/p>\n<p>The next event at Big Daddy\u2019s is the Test and Tune day scheduled for<br \/>\nMay 2nd starting at noon.  The event is free for spectators and<br \/>\nregistered racecars.  Al l classes, including the winged sprint cars,<br \/>\nwill be on the track looking for speed.  Come out and get a sneak<br \/>\npreview of the action coming this summer starting on May 9th.<\/p>\n<p>Big Daddy\u2019s Speedbowl is a family-friendly facility offering<br \/>\nreasonable admission and concessions prices, special activities for<br \/>\nkids, and even a family section in the stands. The first race starts<br \/>\nat 4:00pm (5:00pm when school is out) on Sunday afternoons. Camping is<br \/>\navailable for ticket holders.  Opening day is on Sunday May 9th.
