MONSTER TRUCK weekend double header set for CFS – July 10 & 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Shediac, N.B.) — The Centre for Speed (CFS) is pulling out all the stops for its \u2018ground rumbling\u2019 double header MAPLE LEAF MONSTER MADNESS 2010 weekend on July 10 & 11.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, July 10th at 7:00 p.m., the CENTRE will host a full slate of points championship racing in all four regular stock car divisions along with the Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW) Modifieds.<\/p>\n

Then on Sunday, July 11th, the ground will definitely be shaking as Maple Leaf Monster Madness 2010 invades the CENTRE for an afternoon of \u2018outdoors and unleashed\u2019 competition featuring side-by-side racing, freestyle, and wheelie competition events. A field of SEVEN top Monster Trucks featuring Crushstation, Eradicator, Backdraft, War Eagle, Screamin Demon, Dominator, and Razin Kane will lay down tracks at the CENTRE for the biggest MONSTER TRUCK show to ever hit the Maritimes!<\/p>\n

The large open infield at the CENTRE will feature two-side-by-side ovals complete with \u201cbig air\u201d opportunities for the drivers of these Monster Trucks, similar to what fans have seen during the \u2018Monster Jam\u2019 events held at venues throughout North-America and featured on Speed Network. Sunday\u2019s event will be the first event of its kind in Atlantic Canada with all sorts of opportunities for the drivers to showcase the awesome horsepower and handling of these awe-inspiring machines.<\/p>\n

To round out the two-and-one-half hour show, the event will also include a full suite of additional Thrasher division \u2018crash and bang\u2019 action, with a Demolition Derby, Full Contact Racing, an always unpredictable \u2018Barrell Race\u2019 followed by a \u2018Burnout\u2019 competition with proceed going to the IWK Hospital, with a start time of approximately 6:30 p.m., for one \u2018rip roarin’ day of non-stop action.<\/p>\n

Fans can check out some of this year\u2019s Monster Truck competitors from the videos and photos posted on the CFS website (www.centreforspeed.com). The site also features action from past Monster Truck shows at CFS.<\/p>\n

The full throttle action gets underway at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, with an opportunity for fans to get up-close and personal with their favorite MONSTER TRUCK MADNESS competitors during a photo and autograph session. These 1,800-horsepower car crushing machines will then be \u2018unleashed\u2019 at 4:00 p.m. when the action starts with side-by-side car crushing races, freestyle and wheelie competitions.<\/p>\n

Admission for Sunday\u2019s MONSTER TRUCK MADNESS event, a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT, which includes the pre-event Pit Access, are $28 for adults, $15 for children (5-15 years old) and a family pass for $69, which adds up to a saving of $17 off the individual purchase price. Children 4 and under are admitted FREE.<\/p>\n
