Mark Brown and Leon Dugan Have the Golden Touch at Big Daddy\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n

To punctuate the move from Sunday to Saturday racing at Big Daddy’s Speedbowl, Leon Dugan pulled off a hat trick, finishing first in the Bandit and the Mini-Stock divisions as well as the 50-lap Enduro. Mark Brown won a great Super Street main event, his first of the season. Al Crossman Trucking of Wentworth, NH was the evening’s title sponsor, with sponsorship from Central Metals for the extra payoff for the Mike\u2019s Automotive Outlaw Late Models. The Enduro trophies were sponsored by the Heath Family.<\/p>\n

Dugan ran the same #71 car in both the Camaro Heaven Bandit and OE Parts Direct features and came away with both first-place trophies. In the Bandit class, Marcus Jenness (19) was second and Alicia Smith (88) third. In the Mini-Stocks it was Josh Sunn (11) and Brandon LeMere (1) rounding out the top 3. Josh Sunn pulled off a neat trick of his own, winning second place in both the Mini-Stocks and the Modifieds.

\nMark Brown (47) has been one of the dominant cars in the Cutting Edge Graphix\/Keyser Trucking Super Street division all year, but still hadn’t broken through to claim a feature win until this evening. Mark shot to the lead early in the race and Jack Whynot (27) and Ray Johnson (79) pursued.<\/p>\n

The big race of the evening was the Mike’s Automotive Late Model Blowout. Nine cars took the green flag and after 35 harrowing laps Brad Shanks’ “Dirt Track Cadillac” (8) claimed yet another feature win. “Dangerous” Dan Collins (4) took second, followed by Will Hull (61).<\/p>\n

David “Mad Trucker” Heath (15) added a second Mid-State Trucking Modified feature win to his season’s total, beating out Josh Sunn (7) and Mark Clattenburg (77). Josh made his first (and very impressive) appearance at Big Daddy\u2019s in his new Modified.<\/p>\n

The evening’s last event was the return of the Enduro cars to Big Daddy\u2019s with a fifty-lap Enduro race for 4 and 6 cylinder cars. Leon Dugan got his third win of the evening with Russ Coutu (21) second, and Frank Sweeney (82) third.<\/p>\n

On August 14 we will be having Bicycle Races for the kids with trophies going to the top three in each age group. The month ends with another Enduro on August 28. Also on August 28, we are having a Driver Appreciation session where fans can meet their favorite drivers and collect autographs.<\/p>\n

This coming week (August 7), as we move to Saturdays, the super fast, winged sprint cars of SCoNE return for their fourth visit of the season along with 5 regular racing divisions at Big Daddy\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Big Baddy\u2019s Speedbowl is a family-orientated racing facility featuring a D-shaped, 1\/4 mile, clay oval. Grandstand admission is only $10 for an adult, $8 for 62+, 11 and under is free, and we have a family package of $25. Pit admission is $25.<\/p>\n

The gates at Big Daddy\u2019s open at 12 noon, the driver\u2019s meeting starts at 3:30, and the first race goes off at 4:00pm sharp.
