The weather was great and the track was fast. The racing<br \/>\ncard for this week was the track\u2019s 5 regular divisions plus the new<br \/>\nweekly invitational race for Granite State Mini Sprinters.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe feature race for the Mid-State Trucking Modified division stayed<br \/>\ngreen for its entire 20 laps. David &#8220;Mad Trucker&#8221; Heath (15) of Warren<br \/>\ncame away with the Central Metals trophy, having led every lap. Rising<br \/>\nstar James Capps III (64) of Penacook finished second, his first trip<br \/>\nto the podium, and Travis Shinn (11) of Groton, NH took third.<\/p>\n<p>Another Warren driver, Marcus &#8220;Animal&#8221; Jenness (19), won the Camaro<br \/>\nHeaven Bandits&#8217; feature in a borrowed car. Alicia Smith (88) of Center<br \/>\nHarbor led most of the race, but had to settle for second, followed by<br \/>\nMeredith\u2019s James &#8220;Tumbler&#8221; Nutting (99).<\/p>\n<p>Points leader Derek O&#8217;Hearn (14) of Campton again won the main event<br \/>\nfor the Cutting Edge Graphix\/Keyser Trucking Super Street class.<br \/>\nSecond went to Jack &#8220;Wild Child&#8221; Whynot (27) Laconia and third was<br \/>\nMark Brown (47) Rumney.<\/p>\n<p>The Mike&#8217;s Automotive Late Model division was running for double<br \/>\npoints tonight, after voting to run for no points last week, because<br \/>\none of their strongest drivers, &#8220;Dangerous&#8221; Dan Collins (4) of W.<br \/>\nCannan had a commitment and they didn&#8217;t want to hurt his championship<br \/>\nchances when circumstances were beyond his control.   This week<br \/>\nanother contender, Jamie Bezanson (13 1\/2) of Concord developed engine<br \/>\ntrouble during the heat and had to watch the feature from his trailer.<br \/>\nRumney\u2019s Brad Shanks won the event in his &#8220;Dirt Track Cadillac&#8221; (8),<br \/>\nfollowed by Mike McClay (82) of Holderness and &#8220;Dangerous&#8221; Dan.<\/p>\n<p>Center Harbor\u2019s Matt Morrill (9) won a hard-fought OE Parts Direct<br \/>\nMini-Stock feature over Taylor Fletcher (27) of Laconia and Dana<br \/>\nWhiting (04) of Peancook.<\/p>\n<p> The evening finished with a 50-lap enduro for 4 and 6 cylinder cars.<br \/>\nChris Kirk (78x) completed the 50 laps first. Second went to Mike<br \/>\nBrown (07) and third was Josh Atwood (08).<\/p>\n<p>Join us this coming week at Big Daddy\u2019s Speedbowl when we run on<br \/>\nSunday September 5 at 4:00pm due to a earlier schedule commitment to<br \/>\nSprint Cars of New England (ScoNE).  The mighty 360 winged sprinters<br \/>\nare running a special three day Triple Crown event with races on<br \/>\nFriday night at Canaan Fair Speedway, Saturday night at Bear Ridge<br \/>\nSpeedway, and on Sunday at Big Daddy\u2019s Speedbowl. The Triple Crown<br \/>\nwinner will be determined by the combined points of the three nights<br \/>\nof racing. Along with the ScoNE sprint cars, our regular 5 divisions<br \/>\nwill be in competition.
