STAFFORD SPEEDWAY KICKING IN BIG ASSIST TO TED CHRISTOPHER\u2019S \u201cRACE TO THE FINISH TO BEAT BREAST CANCER\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Stafford Springs, CT)—During the 2010 NASCAR racing season at Stafford
\nMotor Speedway, Ted Christopher has been racing to help beat breast cancer.
\nFor each victory that Christopher records this season at Stafford, he will
\ndonate $100 to Breast Cancer Research in Connecticut and he will donate $1
\nfor every lap he completes at Stafford this season. For every dollar that
\nChristopher contributes to the Race To The Finish To Beat Breast Cancer,
\nStafford Motor Speedway will match Christopher\u2019s total. Christopher\u2019s total
\nstands at $1,495 after he recorded his first SK Modified\u00ae feature victory of
\nthe 2010 season two weeks ago, meaning that along with Stafford Motor
\nSpeedway he has raised nearly $3,000 for breast cancer research.
\nChristopher has set up an account at Farmington Savings Bank in Plainville
\nfor fans to donate to the Race to the Finish to Beat Breast Cancer. Fans
\ncan either make a donation in person, or they can send their donation in by
\nmail to Farmington Savings Bank, 117 East Street, Plainville, CT 06062.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ve had a great response so far,\u201d said Christopher. \u201cIt\u2019s been great to
\nhave Mark and Lisa and Stafford involved with matching the wins and laps.
\nDale Nelson is going to match my win total, and I\u2019ve had several fans who
\nhave offered donations. We\u2019ve raised over $3,000 so far this year and
\nhopefully we can win some more races before the year is out and we can have
\na nice big check to present at the Fall Final.\u201d
\nThe Inaugural Shark Cycle this Friday night at Stafford offers Christopher a
\ngreat chance to add to his total. Christopher will compete in both the
\n100-lap Modified Racing Series feature and the 40-lap SK Modified\u00ae feature.
\nIn addition, the season ending CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend on Oct. 1st-Oct.
\n3rd will present another great opportunity for Christopher and Stafford
\nSpeedway to add to the total as Christopher will partake in both the 150-lap
\nWhelen Modified Tour feature and the 40-lap SK Modified\u00ae feature.
\n\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the last couple of races of the season,\u201d said
\nChristopher. \u201cWe had a new car a couple weeks ago when we won and anytime
\nyou have a new car, there is lots of stuff that you can improve on after
\nyour first time out with the car. I was disappointed that the race got
\ncanceled last week because I was hoping to win these last couple of races
\nand raise some more money. The past couple of years we usually win a lot at
\nStafford and it figures that the one time I set something up to try to help
\nraise money for a cause, we\u2019ve struggled to win this year. I really wish
\nthat we could have won more than we have this year, but we have a couple of
\nraces left this year and we have a really good car, so we\u2019ll try to win
\nthose races.\u201d
\nAll the money that Christopher raises is spread among several hospitals
\nthroughout Connecticut, keeping the donations local. With the two races on
\nhis schedule this Friday night, Christopher is keen to add to his total by
\nwinning the SK Modified\u00ae and Modified Racing Series feature events.
\n\u201cStafford would be a great track for me to get my first Modified Racing
\nSeries victory at,\u201d said Christopher. \u201cWe were second at Thompson and we\u2019ve
\nbeen close to winning before. I think that I\u2019ll have an advantage over the
\nguys who have never raced at Stafford before, maybe I\u2019ll have to show them
\nwhat the bottom shot is all about. We\u2019ll definitely have a smile on our
\nface if we are able to win that race.\u201d
