Polewarczyk&#8217;s strong second half continued on Sunday, where he led on four different occasions in a race featuring an ACT-record 22 lead changes. After starting 12th, Polewarczyk worked his way to the lead for the first time on Lap 83. (1.058-mile oval)<\/p>\n<p>*******<\/p>\n<p>JOEY, ANOTHER GREAT RUN FOR YOUR TEAM.<\/p>\n<p>We were right there at the end, but we just couldn&#8217;t get to those guys (Patrick Laperle and Brian Hoar). They were the class of the field all day. But we&#8217;re second in points now, and that&#8217;s awesome.<\/p>\n<p>We only have one more points race left, but now that we&#8217;re running so good I wish there were five or six more races.<\/p>\n<p>DID PIT STRATEGY PLAY A FACTOR AT THE END?<\/p>\n<p>Our tires started going away in the first half of the race, and then it was just a matter of trying to stay in touch with the leaders until we pitted. Really, early on you&#8217;re just trying to finish all 300 laps.<\/p>\n<p>We pitted on Lap 177 &#8212; and I think it was a good plan. Hoar, Laperle they were just really good at the end. But we definitely made the right choice to pit when we did.
