Big Daddy\u2019s Speedbowl Press Release: For Immediate Release
\nDate: 9\/19\/2010<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wentworth, NH – The Ayer family supplied the trophies for the racers
\nat Big Daddy’s Speedbowl last Saturday. Chief Starter and Educational
\nDirector Ray Moses informed us the word of the week was “Spectacular,”
\nand the action on the track lived up to his expectations.
\n
\nBig Daddy hosted the final visit of the year from the Granite State
\nMini Sprint Club, making up a race they postponed earlier in the
\nseason. Terry Reil (11) won the 600cc feature, with Drew Eldridge (7)
\ncoming in second, and third going to Justin Eldridge (74). In the
\n500cc main event, it was Billy Lussier (25) leading Peter Belliveau
\n(04) and Chris Lussier (2) to the stripe.<\/p>\n

The OE Parts Direct Mini-Stocks were the first regular division out
\nfor their feature. Shane LaBraney (L16) of Franklin took the win over
\npoints leader Matt Morrill (9) Center Harbor and Taylor Fletcher (27)
\nof Ashland.<\/p>\n

Campton\u2019s JP Vaillancourt (14x) won the other 4-cylinder class, the
\nCamaro Heaven Bandits. Early leader Tim Derosier (4) of staged a
\nvaliant comeback after a cut tire took him out of first place, but
\nsettled for second. Chris Kirk borrowed Dana Whiting’s #04 Mustang and
\ncame in third.<\/p>\n

Brad Shanks (8) of Rumney extended his lead in the Mike’s Automotive
\nLate Model division with his “Dirt Track Cadillac”, taking his
\neleventh feature win of the season. “Dangerous” Dan Collins (4) of W,
\nCanaan experimented with a new set-up and earned a second-place
\ntrophy, followed closely by Mike McClay (82) of Holderness.<\/p>\n

The most “spectacular” finish of the night took place in the Cutting
\nEdge Graphix\/Keyser Trucking Super Street division. Mark Jenot (88) of
\nPlymouth led from the green flag, but spent the entire 20 laps
\nfighting off challenges first from Derek O’Hearn (14) of Campton and
\nthen Mark Brown (47) of Rumney. Mike Stygles (16) of Peirmont,
\nreturning from semi-retirement and challenged in a car borrowed from
\nthe stable of the late, great Stub Fadden of N. Haverhill. He was
\ndisqualified after the officials agreed that he deliberately shoved
\nMark Brown into the wall coming out of turn four on the final lap. The
\nthird car to cross the finish line was Sean Ayer (61) of Concord who
\nhad the pleasure of taking home one of the trophies his family
\nprovided.<\/p>\n

No less exciting was the final race of the night, the Mid State
\nTrucking Modifieds feature. Points leader Chad Turck (56) of
\nPittsfield took an early lead, but Todd Petscke (09) of Windsor, Vt
\nquickly caught and passed him. Todd led the rest of the way and took
\ntop honors. Trevor Rocke (63) of Canaan came from the rear of the
\nfield taking second with Thornton\u2019s “Flyin'” Ryan Avery (01) picking
\nup the third spot.<\/p>\n

Next week, Big Daddy\u2019s races its 5 regular divisions with a 40 lap
\nShootout for the Super Streets. Check the track website,
