STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY RELEASES ITS 2011 NASCAR WHELEN ALL-AMERICAN SERIES
\nEVENT SCHEDULE<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway has released its 2011
\nNASCAR Whelen All-American Series event schedule. SMS will host a total of
\n23 racing events, with the 2011 NASCAR season kicking off with the 40th
\nAnnual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST on April 29-May 1, and
\nconcluding with the 39th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend on September
\n30-October 2.
\nIn addition to the CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler and CARQUEST Fall Final
\nWeekend Whelen Modified Tour events, Stafford will also host the Whelen
\nModified Tour on May 27 for the 21st Annual Connecticut Classic 125, and on
\nAugust 5 for the 21st Annual Stafford 150, giving the track a total of four
\nWhelen Modified Tour events for the 2011 season.
\nThe Modified Racing series will make a return visit to Stafford in 2011 with
\ntwo different 80-lap events. The first MRS event of the 2011 season will be
\nJune 24 and the second MRS race will be September 9.
\nStafford Speedway will also once again host the ISMA Supermodifeds on
\nTuesday, June 28th as part of the 8th Annual CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday
\nprogram along with the NEMA Midgets and the Pro-4 Modifieds. New for the
\nCARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program will be the addition of the CARQUEST
\nChampions For Charities race event.
\nStafford\u2019s Friday night NASCAR Whelen All-American Series programs will once
\nagain consist of five divisions, the SK Modifieds\u00ae, Late Models, SK Lights,
\nLimited Late Models, and DARE Stocks. Headlining the weekly divisions are
\nthe 8th Annual CARQUEST SK 150 on July 22nd and the 38th Annual Coors Light
\nSK Modified\u00ae 100 on June 10th and the 17th Annual Late Model 100 on August
\n19th.
\nStafford Motor Speedway will illuminate the sky with fireworks three times
\nduring the 2011 season with the 11th Annual Summer Blast-Off on June 17th,
\nan Independence Day celebration on July 1st, and an end of summer event on
\nSeptember 2nd. For the June 17th Summer Blast-Off program, all children
\nages 14 & under will be admitted free of charge to the general admission
\ngrandstands when accompanied by an adult.
\nThe USHRA Monster Trucks return to Stafford Motor Speedway in 2011 with two
\nshows on Saturday, July 30th, and one show on Sunday, July 31st. SMS will
\nhost four different Connecticut Motorcycle Swap Meets on Sunday, April 3rd,
\nSunday, June 26th, Sunday, August 14th; and Sunday, October 30th. Stafford
\nwill host two Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets on Sunday, April 10th and
\nSunday, October 16th. Also returning to Stafford Speedway will be the 4th
\nAnnual 24 Hours of LeMons, a two-day endurance event that will run Saturday,
\nJuly 23rd and Sunday, July 24th.
\nStafford Motor Speedway has 2011 season ticket packages available now, which
\nare good for all NASCAR Race events, as well as the CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday
\nprogram, but do not include admission for Monster Truck shows, Swap Meets,
\nor Wild Thing Kart events.
