CARQUEST CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITIES DRIVER SPOTLIGHT: KEITH ROCCO<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Stafford Springs, CT)—As the excitement builds for the June 28th CARQUEST
\nExtreme Tuesday Champions for Charities event, Stafford Speedway has been
\nbusy coordinating charities and the drivers that will represent them. The
\nfield for the CARQUEST Champions for Charities race is impressive, as it
\nrepresents 42 championships among 12 drivers and 5 different open wheel
\ndivisions.
\nKeith Rocco, the 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion,
\nas well as the 2010 Stafford SK Modified\u00ae Champion, has teamed up with the
\nConnecticut Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in conjunction with the
\nWishes on Wheels Convoy for this unique event. The Connecticut Chapter of
\nthe Make-A-Wish Foundation \/ Wishes on Wheels Convoy grants wishes of
\nchildren with life threatening medical conditions. Since 1986, the
\nMake-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut has granted the wishes of more than
\n1,900 children.
\n“I am excited to get a chance to help a charity such as Make-A-Wish,” said
\nRocco. “To get a chance to race and raise money for such a great cause is
\nsomething I couldn’t pass up.”
\nRocco will bring his talents to the CARQUEST Champions for Charities event
\non June 28th as part of the CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday event that will
\nshowcase the ISMA Supermodified, NEMA Midget, and Pro-4 Modified divisions.
\nAs one of the special guests in the CARQUEST Champions For Charities event,
\nRocco will pilot a Wild Thing Senior Outlaw go-kart against some of the most
\ntalented open wheel drivers in New England.
\nFans are encouraged to get involved in the event by donating to their
\nfavorite driver or favorite charity. Starting positions for the qualifying
\nraces will be set by the amount of funds raised and the top two fundraisers
\nwill be on the pole of each qualifying race.
\n“My goal is to raise $8,500 for Make-A-Wish” said Rocco. “That is the
\namount needed to grant one wish and I’m hoping that it will also get me a
\ngood starting spot in the race.”
\n2010 was a big year for Rocco; he won 10 times at Stafford, clinched his
\nsecond SK Modified\u00ae track championship, and was the NASCAR Whelen
\nAll-American Series National Champion. Though Keith is one of the younger
\nmembers of the CARQUEST Champions for Charities field, he will surely be one
\nto reckon with come race day.

\nCARQUEST Extreme Tuesday will take place on June 28, 2011 and will also

\nTickets for CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday are on sale now at the Speedway Box
\nOffice and are priced at $30.00 for adult general admission tickets, $5.00
\nfor children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free of
\ncharge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is priced at $32.00
\nfor all ages. As always, Stafford Motor Speedway offers free parking with
