{"id":4604,"date":"2011-03-17T22:01:50","date_gmt":"2011-03-18T03:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/?p=9076"},"modified":"2011-03-17T22:01:50","modified_gmt":"2011-03-18T03:01:50","slug":"oxford-plains-speedway-host-awesome-auto-bike-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/2011\/03\/oxford-plains-speedway-host-awesome-auto-bike-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxford Plains Speedway to host Awesome Auto and Bike Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201d<strong>Oxford Plains Speedway to host \u201cAwesome Auto and Bike Show<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>OXFORD, Maine \u2013 It has been more than three years since Oxford Plains Speedway has been the site of a car\/bike show but, that all ends on May 29, 2011 as the \u201cAwesome Auto and BikeFest\u201d makes it\u2019s debut at the historic Oxford oval on Memorial Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have the opportunity to once again play host to hundreds of classic car and bike enthusiasts from across northern New England\u201d Speedway owner Bill Ryan said. \u201cWe\u2019re working with Spencer Richie Owner and publisher of CruiseMaine and RideMaine magazines to bring a high caliber car and bike show back to the speedway.\u201d<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe event will also feature a swap meet, live music, raffles, vendor displays and door prizes. Spencer from RideMaine\/Cruise Maine said, \u201cLast year we put on our first annual show for bikes and quickly realized there was a demand for cars as well.  After speaking with Bill and Butch at Oxford Plains, it was obvious they were the best partners with the best location so here we are.  The day is lined up to be one of the best shows of the year!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There will be an awards ceremony and trophy presentations in several categories at 3pm. The event runs from 10am to 5pm on May 29. All tickets to the event are general admission and are now available.
