{"id":4828,"date":"2011-04-14T21:27:58","date_gmt":"2011-04-15T02:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/?p=9076"},"modified":"2011-04-13T21:28:52","modified_gmt":"2011-04-14T02:28:52","slug":"airborne-adds-big-block-modifieds-boosts-purse-mohawk-casino-100","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/2011\/04\/airborne-adds-big-block-modifieds-boosts-purse-mohawk-casino-100\/","title":{"rendered":"Airborne adds Big-Block Modifieds, boosts purse for Mohawk Casino 100"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Airborne adds Big-Block Modifieds, boosts purse for Mohawk Casino 100<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South Plattsburgh, NY \u2013 Airborne Speedway has upped the ante for the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino 100, the season\u2019s longest-distance event for DIRTcar Modifieds, Sunday, September 12.<\/p>\n<p>Big-Block Modifieds have been declared eligible to compete alongside the region\u2019s top 358-Modified competitors in the $3,000-to-win event.<\/p>\n<p>The Mohawk Casino 100 is the highlight of a two-day program which includes Airborne\u2019s Sportsman, Renegade, Mini-Modified and Bomber divisions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is our biggest Modified event of the year and we\u2019re anticipating a large field that will make qualifying for the race a real accomplishment,\u201d promoter Mike Perrotte said.<\/p>\n<p>Airborne open its 58th season with the Della Auto Group Fast 50 Saturday, May 7 at 5 p.m. when Patrick Dupree of Saranac Lake will begin defense of his 2010 Ernie\u2019s Discount Tools Modified title. All Airborne divisions be will in action.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the opening day competitors will be in attendance at the Mike Watts Motorsports Show at the Crete Civic Center in Plattsburgh Friday, April 15 (6-10 pm) and Saturday, April 16 from 10 am \u2013 6 pm.
