COUNTRY MUSIC VOCALIST AJ JANSEN TO PERFORM NATIONAL ANTHEM AT CARQUEST TECH-NET SPRING SIZZLER<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The 40th Annual CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler
\nwill play host to country music artist AJ Jansen, \u201cCountry Music\u2019s Rebel
\nRose.\u201d Jansen will perform the national anthem just prior to the 40-lap SK
\nModified\u00ae feature event on Sunday, May 1st to kick off the day\u2019s feature
\nraces. Jansen will also be on hand during the CARQUEST Belts & Hose Pit
\nParty, performing some of her songs as part of the pre-race festivities.
\nJansen hails from Connecticut and she has won several awards for her music.
\nJansen won Best Female Modern Country Vocalist from the Connecticut Country
\nMusic Association (CCMA) back in 2005. Also that year, she won Best
\nRecording for her original single, \u201cMoments\u201d, which is featured on the CCMA
\ncompilation CD.<\/p>\n

In 2006, Jansen attended the national championships for the North American
\nCountry Music Association (NACMAI) in Nashville, TN, where she won the
\nNACMAI Horizon Female Vocalist of the Year Award. 2006 also marked the
\nrelease of her much anticipated debut CD, entitled, \u201cThis Night Belongs To
\nMe.\u201d Jansen has since released two more CDs and her latest CD, titled \u201cBars
\nScars and Old Guitars\u201d, is currently receiving rave reviews from national
\npublications.<\/p>\n

The 2011 CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler gets underway Friday, April 29
\nwith a practice session for Stafford\u2019s weekly divisions. The practice
\nsession will be open to the public at no charge. Action continues on
\nSaturday, April 30 with Coors Light Pole Qualifying for the Whelen Modified
\nTour cars, along with heat and consolation races for Stafford\u2019s weekly
\ndivisions. Saturday will conclude with feature events for the SK Light,
\nLimited Late Model, and DARE Stock divisions. The Sizzler continues on
\nSunday, May 1 with the CARQUEST Belts & Hose Pit Party followed by Stafford\u2019
\ns SK Modifieds\u00ae and Late Models joining the Whelen Modified Tour in feature
\naction.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the \u201cGreatest Race in the History of Spring\u201d are on sale now at
\nthe Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $35.00 for adult general
\nadmission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and
\nunder are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved
\nseating is priced at $38.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor
\nSpeedway offers free parking with overnight parking available.<\/p>\n
