The learning curve (of the track) will be an equalizer for everyone.

“From what I hear it’s a pretty fast track. I’ve heard the banking is comparable to Oxford Plains Speedway. We’re looking forward to it and redeeming ourselves from what went on at Thunder Road.”

On his expectations for Devil’s Bowl Speedway: “The way I set the bar for each weekend is to set benchmarks – getting into the race, getting used to the track, and if things go our way we’ll get a Top-10 or Top-5 finish. This tour is so competitive that it is a challenge. You have good weeks and bad weeks. We’re still learning, but I’m looking forward to this weekend – especially the fact that only a small amount of (ACT) drivers have raced on the track.”

On how the new team is jelling: “It’s interesting to note last year at this time was when we first entered the Tour at Oxford Plains Speedway. We have actually been on the Tour for a year, and I think we did great last year. As far as the team goes, I think that we are making strides with Brian (Hoar) and Rick (Paya, team owner). We’re still learning. (Crew chief Mickey Green), Rick, and I are doing very well together. RPM Motorsports have proven themselves and everyone knows that.

“I think it’s going to be a good weekend.”

UP NEXT

The ACT Late Model Tour heads to Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, for the rescheduled The Big Jab 150 on Saturday, June 4… In only his second ACT Late Model Tour start, Austin Theriault started sixth in the 2010 event and led 29 laps in the first half of the race. Theriault hopes to continue his success at Oxford Plains Speedway and begin to prepare for July’s TD Bank 250.

ACT Forum
ACT News

Austin Theriault: ACT Late Model Tour Devil’s Bowl Speedway Race Preview THE STORY Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, will return to race for the first time in three weeks in the ACT Late Model Tour Spring Green 111 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Sunday, May 22.
