South Plattsburgh \u2013 In a Canadian battle for the checkers, Martin Roy of Napierville, QC wheeled around Pierre Berthiaume of Joliette, QC on a lap 19 restart and went on to win the Modified 30-lap feature at Airborne Speedway.<\/p>\n

Berthiaume had held off Roy, Bryant Trim and Patrick Dupree for 15 laps before the race\u2019s fourth caution closed the field. Dupree left on the hook after contact on the backstretch as Greg Atkins of Clintonville and George Foley of Saranac Lake moved into contention.

\nFoley overtook Trim for third with three laps to go. Atkins completed the top five. Positions 6-10 went to Leon Gonyo, Vince Quenneville, Andy Heywood, Jason Bruno and Chris Cayea.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy car was better on the outside and better after the sun went down,\u201d Roy said. \u201cThe restarts helped me get to the No.1 car (Berthiaume).\u201d<\/p>\n

Thirty-seven Ernie\u2019s Discount Tools Modifieds were in the pits. Thirty cars started the main event. Foley, Roy and Berthiaume won the heats.<\/p>\n

Robert Gordon of Milton, VT also made use of the outside lane on a late restart to edge Kevin Boutin and win his second straight Versatile Trailer Sales Renegade feature. Lance Rabtoy caught Joe Daniels with two to go to claim third.<\/p>\n

Defending champion Robin Wood of Plattsburgh drove the Ganienkeh Bingo No. 61 to his second win in a row in a caution-filled Sportsman feature. Jamy Begor, Nick Heywood, Tylor Terry and Howard Stoner were 2-3-4-5.<\/p>\n

Chris LaVair of Gabriels won the NAPA Mini Modified despite heavy pressure from Speedy Bresette. Josh LaVarnway, Scott Richner and Josh LaPorte were close behind in 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.<\/p>\n

Josh Durivage of West Chazy took his second straight Busch Bomber feature.<\/p>\n
