If the winning<br \/>\ncar has the proper contingency decals on their car, the winner\u2019s check could<br \/>\nbe worth as much as $2,600.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThere is a grand total of nearly $13,000 on the line for the 28 SK Modified\u00ae<br \/>\ncompetitors who will take the green flag in the extra distance classic.  The<br \/>\nrace carries a total purse of $12,310 with $550 in available contingency<br \/>\nmoney to push the total posted awards for the 38th Annual Coors Light SK<br \/>\nModified\u00ae 100 to $12,860.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to contingency partners CARQUEST Auto Parts and Trantolo and<br \/>\nTrantolo, there is an additional $300 available to the race winner.<br \/>\nAdditional contingency awards of $125 will be paid by Call Before You Dig to<br \/>\nthe second place finisher, and New England Racing Fuel, Sunoco Brand will<br \/>\npay a $50 product bonus to the third place finisher if they have a Sunoco<br \/>\nsticker on their car and use Sunoco racing fuel in their car.  New England<br \/>\nRacing Fuel will also provide a $25 product bonus to the top-3 finishing<br \/>\ncars that use the Stafford Motor Speedway SK Modified\u00ae Spec Engine.<br \/>\nThe 2009 and 2010 Coors Light SK Modified\u00ae 100 events were two of the<br \/>\nwildest races in recent memory with 2-time SK Modified\u00ae champion Keith Rocco<br \/>\ndueling with 7-time track champion Ted Christopher in a battle that saw the<br \/>\ntwo drivers swap the lead between themselves almost at will.  Between laps<br \/>\n16 and 68 of last year\u2019s extra distance classic, Rocco and Christopher<br \/>\nswapped the lead between themselves 15 times.  The 2009 edition of the race<br \/>\nsaw them swap the lead seven times between themselves over the final 35 laps<br \/>\nof the race.<\/p>\n<p>Rocco has gotten the better of those battles as he is the two-time defending<br \/>\nchampion of the Coors Light SK Modified\u00ae 100.  Both Rocco and Christopher<br \/>\nhave visited CARQUEST Victory Lane twice thusfar during the 2011 season, and<br \/>\nthey will be looking to pick up their third win in the second most lucrative<br \/>\nSK Modified\u00ae event of the 2011 season.<\/p>\n<p>Rocco and Christopher won\u2019t be the only favorites to take the checkered flag<br \/>\nin the Coors Light 100.  Other SK Modified\u00ae drivers who have won extra<br \/>\ndistance events at Stafford who will be in the starting lineup next Friday<br \/>\nnight include Eric Berndt, Todd Owen, Woody Pitkat, and Frank Ruocco.<br \/>\nRuocco has become an extra distance master at Stafford, winning three out of<br \/>\nthe last four CARQUEST SK 150 events and with a best finish of second<br \/>\nthusfar in 2011, he will be hungry to notch up his first win of the season.<br \/>\nAnd while current SK Modified\u00ae points leader Ryan Preece has yet to win an<br \/>\nextra distance event at Stafford, he finished second to Ruocco in last year\u2019<br \/>\ns CARQUEST SK 150 and he has plenty of extra distance experience in Whelen<br \/>\nModified Tour events at Stafford.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the 38th Annual Coors Light SK Modified\u00ae 100 are on sale now at<br \/>\nthe Speedway Box Office.  Tickets are priced at $18.00 for adult general<br \/>\nadmission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and<br \/>\nunder are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
