Hoar’s strong third-place finish in his heat race gave him the outside pole of the main feature. Hoar had a few strong side-by side runs with pole-sitter and eventual winner Jeff White, but settled for the second-place finish. Hoar was able to add to his ACT Late Model Tour standings lead as he pursues a record eighth championship with RPM Motorsports.

WHO: Brian Hoar, Williston,Vt.
TEAM: RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge

WHAT: ACT Late Model Tour The Big Jab 150
WHERE: Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, Maine (.375-mile oval)

STARTED: 2nd
FINISHED: 2nd
LED: 1 time for 1 lap

ACT Late Model Tour
LAST RACE: Sunday, May 22, ACT Spring Green 111, Devil’s Bowl Speedway, West Haven, Vt. The car was good all day long. We had a great heat race. We started sixth and got a plus three – finished third. Ironically I never expected a plus three to get us on the front row. Evidently there weren’t many big plusses. We started on the front row, but we just didn’t have enough for (winner Jeff White).
We were really trying to play it smart. We had a really good car [on] that last restart, it was just too tight.

Overall, the car was awesome. It was well balanced throughout most of the race. I really thought we were going to have something for him (White) at the end there. We were a little off and those guys (White and his crew) were on the money. But all in all great night, awesome night. We’re all very psyched.

WILL TONIGHT’S FINISH GIVE YOU GOOD MOMENTUM WHEN YOU RETURN TO OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY ON JUNE 25?

Absolutely, [I] can’t wait to come back. I enjoy racing here. The track is really putting on good racing, side-by-side and sometimes three-wide. It’s a pretty awesome place to race. There’s a lot of room, and most of the competitors are very good to race with. It makes it fun to come over.

ACT Forum
ACT News

Brian Hoar: ACT Late Model Tour Oxford Plains Speedway Race Report OXFORD, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., captured his third Top-3 in four ACT Late Model Tour starts this season with a second-place finish in The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, June 4.
