Wood\u2019s win last week, aided by a late race restart, came despite the implementation of the track\u2019s handicapping system, which assigned him a starting position deep in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Wood is now tied with his uncle, Bucko Branham, for most Sportsman feature wins from 2002-present (25). His No. 61 is sponsored by Ganienkeh Territorial Bingo, Loreman\u2019s, Daniels Signs and Leland\u2019s Barber Shop. He\u2019s been assured that if he voluntarily starts on the rear this Saturday and wins, he can pocket the bounty money himself.<\/p>\n<p>Branham says he\u2019s planning to assume the racing version of the role of \u201cDog the Bounty Hunter\u201d. \u201cRobin\u2019s the class of the field right now, but I\u2019m working on it,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been experimenting with stuff that hasn\u2019t worked out and we\u2019re going back to the old set-up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>George Foley of Saranac Lake will try to become the first repeat winner in the Ernie\u2019s Discount Tools Modified division.
