THE STORY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, will return to ACT Late Model Tour racing action at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH, Saturday July 9. This will mark Theriault’s second stop at the tight, egg-shaped speedway where he finished 10th in his first start at the track. Theriault has spent the last two off-weekends getting seat time by running the Governor’s Cup at Thunder Road International Speedbowl and last weekend’s Saturday night Late Model event at Oxford Plains Speedway. The RPM Motorsports No. 57 Varney Insurance Ford team hopes to come out of Twin State Speedway with a solid Top-10 and swing some momentum to their side leading up to the TD Bank 250.<\/p>\n

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING<\/p>\n

AUSTIN THERIAULT, Driver of the No. 57 Varney Insurance Ford, on his return to Twin State Speedway after a Top-10 finish his rookie year: \u201cWhen we first went there, just looking at it there’s not a track that compares to it on the Tour that we go to. It’s a very tight track. Turns three and four are the tightest. The key to it is whoever can come off the corner best and keep their momentum. Last year, we [Theriault’s family team] weren’t good when we unloaded. We kept trying to free up the car and came out with a Top-10.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his team’s goals for Twin State Speedway: \u201cTo get a Top-10. We are almost mid-way through the season and our goals are changing a bit, we are expecting more of ourselves. We are at the point in the season that in order to have a good points finish week in and week out, we are going to have to go for Top-10s and Top-5s.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Twin State Speedway being the last race before the TD Bank 250: \u201cSome people believe in momentum and some people don’t, but I like to think that coming off a good finish will carry on to the next week you go racing. The [TD Bank] 250 we are looking forward to trying to qualify. I think we will have a shot at running good.\u201d<\/p>\n

On how he thinks his season is going at the halfway point: \u201dWe’ve had our share of ups and downs, and that’s what we expected. I think things are settling out and I am looking forward to the second part of the season. That [second half of the season] is where we have our strength and hopefully we’ll have some Top-3 runs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ACT Late Model Tour heads to Beech Ridge Motor Speeday for the ACT 150 on Saturday, July 30… he event comes between two marquee events on the schedule \u2013 the non-points TD Bank Oxford 250 on July 24 and the first ACT Late Model All-Star Challenge at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in August.<\/p>\n
