CLAREMONT, N.H. \u2013 Brian Hoar checked another track off his ACT Late Model Tour bucket list.<\/p>\n Hoar took the lead in the late stages of the Jim’s Captown 100 and went on to the victory for the 31st victory of his ACT career \u2013 and his first at the tricky Twin State Speedway.<\/p>\n \u201cIt feels great,\u201d said Hoar, of Williston, Vt.. \u201cAnytime you can add another track to the win column, it’s pretty awesome. The guys did an awesome job. We unloaded (for practice) and had a ton of confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n Hoar, the ACT points leader in search of a record eighth series title this season, now has three wins in six races in 2011. He also won the non-points ACT Goodyear Speedweeks Cup 100 back in February.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s just been an unbelievable start to the season,\u201d Hoar said. \u201cIt’s an incredible roll \u2013 to come off with another win in the first half of the season is just phenomenal. We’re 50 percent in wins this year in ACT races. That’s unbelievable. That just doesn’t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Hoar started sixth in the field and quickly settled into third in a race slowed only three times by the caution flag. He was able to move into second under the green flag, before a late restart set up a 10-lap battle with leader Randy Potter.<\/p>\n Hoar worked under Potter for the lead and then checked out over the final 15 laps.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s such a tough little track,\u201d Hoar said. \u201cObviously, it’s not on the same level of tough racing like a Bowman Gray, but it’s our version of that. It’s really tough and tight and there’s a lot of body contact.<\/p>\n \u201cI liked it tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n Hoar said he knew even before finishing third in his qualifying race that his RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge was a strong piece.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was very similar to my Lee (USA Speedway) race in a lot of ways,\u201d he said of the season opener back in April. \u201cThere, I knew right away if I played my cards right, I had a car capable of winning.
