On the road and on the move, Frankoski has competed in three different races at three completely different tracks. While the team has enjoyed success over the past month, they have also faced their fair share of bumps along the way.

In the middle of June, the team headed off to Thunder Road Speedbowl. It was the first time that everyone on the ACR team had even stepped foot on the property. Despite their lack of experience, the team headed into the weekend with an open mind and remained optimistic.

Challenges began earlier which tried to thwart the team’s goals for the weekend. A broken breather fitting on the valve cover kept the team from participating in the practice session. Not really know what to expect, the team was aiming to just survive in the heat race and hopefully transfer to the feature.

A loose No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar made Frankoski earn his finish in the heat as he battled from his fifth place starting position to claim second. Tightening up their race car, the team started the feature in the sixth spot but was only able to climb one position and take the checkered flag in the fifth position.

“We missed the setup a little bit,” offered Frankoski. “It happens in racing. This was a new place for us and while I’m pleased with our efforts, you always strive to do better. We’ll take what we learned here and apply it where we can and hope if we return to Thunder Road Speedbowl, we’ll find ourselves in a lot better shape.”

Next up for the team was Stafford Motor Speedway on Tuesday, June 28th. Unloading solid, the ACR team was focused and determined to make a statement. After starting fifth in his heat race, Frankoski nailed the throttle and took the win in his heat giving the Adam Cantor Racing team their first triumph of the season. Starting fourth in the feature, the team hovered between second and third but on the final lap of the event in turns three and four, Frankoski encountered some oil on the race track which threw his automobile into a vicious spin. He was able to recover but not before slipping to 10th in the overall rundown.

“Man, what a night of emotions for sure,” sounded Frankoski. “We had a super-fast car and the team did an awesome job. I did everything I could to avoid to what I thought was oil but the car just went into a spin. I hate it, because we deserved to be standing on the podium. We can’t change the outcome, the only thing we can do is pick up the pieces and bounce back.”

Most recently, Frankoski and Co. were plagued by engines issues at Thompson Speedway on Thursday, July 7th which continues the see-saw ride for the former USAC Ford Focus champion.

“It just seems like we can’t catch a break,” he said. “Thompson was frustrating. I mean, we can sit here and dwell on it, but we just need to pick up and move on the best we possibly can.”

Action resumes for NEMA this Friday, July 15 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire.

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (July 13, 2011) – – It’s been a busy couple weeks for Adam Cantor Racing’s Jeremy Frankoski.
