CFS Hosts Annual Mid Summer Event this Weekend
\nGaudet to Return for Final Event<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shediac, July 29\/11 – This coming weekend at Centre for Speed, the third leg of the Maritime
\nSportsman Super Series is set to go and it promises to be a great one. So
\nfar, 18 Super Sportsman competitors have registered for the event and
\nfour more teams more have noted tentative intentions to compete, as well.
\n<\/p>\n

Veteran Claude Gaudet has been sidelined all season with an injury but
\non Sunday, the #22 machine will circle the new oval, piloted by
\nClaude’s son Remi. The younger Gaudet, a veteran Shediac Sportsman campaigner, has
\nhad some prior experience in the #22 Super Sportsman and figures to be a strong challenger.
\nHowever. Calvin Rankin, of Saint John, has proven to be the Driver to beat as he has won the first two legs of
\nthe series and can clinch a significant bonus to go along with the Championship in the Maritime Super Series
\n with a win on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Regulars Danny Bourque (Grande Digue), Bert Cormier (Bouctouche) and Robert Raynes (Saint John) and
\nCriag Ward (Riverview) will also be strong and are “chomping at the bit”, in anticipation of Sundays big event..<\/p>\n

The action actually gets underway on Saturday evening with a Test and
\nTune from 7pm til 9pm, followed by “Go Kart Warz” from 9 – 10 where anyone is welcome
\nwith their Sunday event ticket available at the back gate on Saturday. Fans and drivers can race their
\nneighbour, another driver, or all comers in the speedways Winged Outlaw carts. This
\npromises to be a lot of fun baring inclement weather on Saturday.<\/p>\n

On Sunday Pit gates open at 10am Sunday with the Main gate opening at noon. The
\nwhole weekend, including the camping, is included with your Sunday event
\nticket. Many changes are being made and have been made at the Speedway over
\nthe season. Come on down for a great weekend of excitement and GREAT Family
\nfun.<\/p>\n

In addition to the “Big race” a Super Sportsman 100 lap event, there will be action in all other
\ndivisions as well, including a Mini 35, a Four Fun 35, and a Street Stock 50. All events are open invitation
\nto all comers who wish to compete.<\/p>\n

Racing starts at 2pm with features scheduled to get underway at 4pm. The program is expected to end around
\n7pm.<\/p>\n
