\nGALKO, GAMBACORTA, & WOOD SCORE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway kicked off its final race
\nevent of the 2011 season with feature events for its SK Light, Limited Late
\nModel, and DARE Stock divisions as part of the Saturday CARQUEST Fall Final
\nWeekend festivities. Frank Cardile picked up his first feature victory of
\nthe 2011 season in the SK Light feature and Matt Galko secured his second
\nconsecutive track championship with a 9th place finish. Cory Casagrande
\npicked up his third win of the 2011 season in the 20-lap Limited Late Model
\nfeature and Kevin Gambacorta locked down his second career Ltd. Late Model
\ntrack championship with a 7th place finish. Kelsey Rottino captured his
\nfirst career victory in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature event while Don Wood
\ncaptured his second DARE Stock track championship with a second place
\nfinish. Albert Saunders was the winner of the 8-lap Paradiso-Muska DARE
\nStock Shoot-Out.<\/p>\n

In the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, Cody Gneiting took the lead at the
\nstart with Tony Membrino, Jr., Tony Santangelo, Harry Wheeler, and Frank
\nCardile behind him. Jay Goff touched wheels with the car of Dylan Liseo and
\ndamaged his right front tire, which brought the caution out with 1 lap
\ncomplete.<\/p>\n

Membrino took the lead on the restart and held the lead ahead of Gneiting
\nuntil the caution came back out with 9 laps complete for a spin by Steve
\nGreer on the backstretch.<\/p>\n

Back under green, Frank Cardile got around Membrino for the race lead, while
\nGneiting, Joey Cipriano, and Dylan Liseo made up the top-5. The caution
\ncame back out with 13 laps complete for a spin by Paul Tommasino in turn 4.
\nCardile took the lead back under green with Membrino right behind him.
\nCipriano moved into third, with Santangelo and Liseo making up the top-5 as
\nGneiting fell back to seventh. With 2 laps to go, the order shuffled as
\nCipriano moved into second place. But Cardile led the field around to the
\ncheckered flag for his first win of the 2011 season. Cipriano finished
\nsecond, with Membrino, Santangelo, and Tommy Barrett, Jr. rounding out the
\ntop-5.<\/p>\n

In the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature, Jesse Hinze took the early race
\nlead ahead of Cory Casagrande, Chris Cook, Carla Botticello, and George
\nNocera, Jr. Kevin Gambacorta was right behind Nocera in sixth place, with
\nNorm Sears and Shawn Thibeault right behind Gambacorta.<\/p>\n

Hinze continued to hold the race lead ahead of Casagrande, but one lap after
\nthe halfway point of the race, Casagrande made a pass for the lead in turn
\n4. Cook continued to run in third, with Nocera in fourth and Gambacorta was
\nin fifth. Sears was all over the back bumper of Gambacorta in sixth place,
\nwhile Thibeault was right behind Sears.<\/p>\n

On lap-14, Sears was finally able to find his way past Gambacorta and one
\nlap later, Thibeault got by Gambacorta to move into fifth place. Casagrande
\nwas still the race leader and he had pulled out to a large lead over Hinze
\nin second. Sears got by Cook to move into fourth coming to the white flag,
\nbut it was all Casagrande at the front as he picked up his third feature
\nvictory of the 2011 season. Nocera finished second, with Hinze, Sears, and
\nCook rounding out the top-5. Gambacorta came home in sixth place, which was
\ngood enough to secure the Limited Late Model championship.<\/p>\n

In the 15-lap DARE Stock feature, Kaitlyn Brice took the lead into turn 1 at
\nthe green flag, but Kelsey Rottino quickly took the lead and led the first
\nlap. Andy Marchese moved into second as Brice fell back to third, with Kyle
\nCasagrande and Andrew Hayes rounding out the top-5. Donnie Swan spun to
\nbring the caution out with 1 lap complete.<\/p>\n

Rottino maintained the lead on the restart with Hayes making a strong move
\ninto second. Cliff Saunders moved into third, as Marchese fell back to
\nfourth, just ahead of Albert Saunders. Don Wood got by Marchese for fifth
\nseveral laps later and Rottino continued to hold the lead.<\/p>\n

With 5 laps to go, Rottino continued to hold the race lead with Albert and
\nCliff Saunders right behind him. Wood was in fourth with Kris Fluckiger in
\nfifth as Hayes fell from second back to sixth place. Brice and David Macha
\nmade contact in turn 2 with Macha spinning to bring the caution out with 12
\nlaps complete.<\/p>\n

Rottino and Saunders were side by side for the lead on the restart with
\nRottino getting clear to the lead at the start\/finish line. Swan spun again
\nin turn 4 to bring the caution out.<\/p>\n

Rottino took the lead on the restart with Wood settling into second. Wood
\nalmost took the lead coming to the white flag, but Rottino was able to hold
\nhim off. Rottino led Wood around to the checkered flag to pick up his first
\ncareer DARE Stock victory. Wood finished second, which clinched the 2011
\nDARE Stock track championship. Albert Saunders came home in third, with
\nHayes and Fluckiger rounding out the top-5.<\/p>\n

In the 8-lap Paradiso-Muska DARE Stock Shoot-Out, Albert Saunders and Andrew
\nHayes stayed side by side for the lead on the first lap while Kyle
\nCasagrande and Don Wood were side by side behind them for third. Albert
\nSaunders got clear of Hayes on lap-2 and Casagrande got ahead of Wood on the
\nsecond lap with Kris Fluckiger riding in fifth place.<\/p>\n

Casagrande went around on the backstretch on lap-5, but he was able to keep
\nhis car going and the race stayed green with Albert Saunders leading Hayes.
\nHayes made a bid for the lead on the final lap, but Albert Saunders was able
\nto hold him off for the win. Rounding out the top-5 behind Albert Saunders
\nand Hayes was Wood, Cliff Saunders, and Fluckiger.<\/p>\n
