A crowd of over 500<br \/>\nguests is expected to be on hand as the Connecticut half-mile hands out its<br \/>\npost-season awards.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In addition to recognizing the 2011 track champions, other prestigious<br \/>\nawards, including Most Improved Driver, Most Popular Driver, the Reliable<br \/>\nWelding &#038; Speed Rookie of the Year Awards, and the Craftsman Mechanic of the<br \/>\nYear Award will also be presented.  Stafford Motor Speedway will also<br \/>\nrecognize the top-20 finishers from the 2011 SK Modified\u00ae, Late Model, SK<br \/>\nLight, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock points standings.<\/p>\n<p>Headlining the night\u2019s festivities, Ryan Preece will be recognized as the<br \/>\n2011 SK Modified\u00ae Champion, which is his first career championship; Ryan<br \/>\nPosocco will be honored as the 2011 Late Model track champion for a record<br \/>\nsixth time in Stafford\u2019s Late Model division; Matt Galko will be honored as<br \/>\nthe SK Light Modified championship for the second consecutive season; Kevin<br \/>\nGambacorta will be honored as the 2011 Limited Late Model track champion,<br \/>\nhis second Limited Late Model championship and third overall track<br \/>\nchampionship; and Don Wood will be honored for the second time as the DARE<br \/>\nStock track champion.<\/p>\n<p>Stafford Motor Speedway Most Popular Driver candidates include Heather<br \/>\nDesRochers, Sean Foster, and Woody Pitkat from the SK Modified\u00ae division,<br \/>\nJ.J. Hill, Woody Pitkat, and Ryan Posocco from the Late Model division, Joey<br \/>\nCipriano, III, Matt Galko, and Shayne Prucker from the SK Light division,<br \/>\nCarla Botticello, Cory Casagrande, and Dan Flannery from the Limited Late<br \/>\nModel division, and David Arute, Katlyn Brice, and Kyle Casagrande from the<br \/>\nDARE Stock division.  The Most Popular Driver winners were voted upon by the<br \/>\nfans, who submitted Most Popular Driver Ballots from the PitStopper Magazine<br \/>\nto the Speedway Office throughout the 2011 season.<\/p>\n<p>Reliable Welding and Speed Rookie of the Year honors will go to Heather<br \/>\nDesRochers from the SK Modified\u00ae division, Peter Thickett from the Late<br \/>\nModel division, Cody Gneiting from the SK Light division, and D.J. Burnham<br \/>\nfrom the Limited Late Model division.<\/p>\n<p>The Most Improved Driver Award will be presented to one driver each from the<br \/>\nSK Modified\u00ae, Late Model, SK Light Modified, and Limited Late Model<br \/>\ndivisions who exhibits the greatest degree of improvement in on-track<br \/>\nperformance over the past season.  Most Improved Driver winners are selected<br \/>\nand voted upon by a committee of Stafford Motor Speedway management and<br \/>\ntrack officials.<\/p>\n<p>The Craftsman Mechanic of the Year award will be presented to the Stafford<br \/>\nmechanic who received the most votes from NASCAR licensed members, who were<br \/>\nable to vote online or by submitting a ballot to NASCAR.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to the 42nd Annual Stafford Motor Speedway Champions Awards Ceremony<br \/>\nare $45 per person and can be ordered by calling the Stafford Motor Speedway<br \/>\ntrack office at (860) 684-2783, or by downloading an order form from<br \/>\nwww.staffordspeedway.com <http: \/\/www.staffordspeedway.com> and mailing the<br \/>\nform to the track office.<\/p>\n<p>Hotel room reservations are available by calling the Clarion Inn in East<br \/>\nWindsor, phone 860-623-9411.
