(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2012 season at Stafford Motor Speedway, the
\npaddock area will have a new look as SPAFCO Race Chassis will become the new
\nparts vendor, taking over a position that Reliable Welding and Speed had
\noccupied for the past 9 seasons.
\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to coming on board and helping support all the racers
\nat Stafford,\u201d said Ken Barry, co-owner of SPAFCO Race Chassis. \u201cWe\u2019re
\nreally excited about getting the opportunity to be the parts supplier to
\nStafford, and we can\u2019t wait to get started this season.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reliable Welding and Speed, owned by SK Modified\u00ae competitor Brad Hietala
\nand his wife Linda, had provided parts supply to the Stafford paddock area
\nevery season since 2003. But the Hietalas made the decision to focus their
\nefforts on their #9 SK Modified\u00ae with driver Chris Matthews for the 2012
\nseason, opening the door for someone to take over the parts vendor position,
\nand SPAFCO Race Chassis filled that opening.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe decided that we were going to focus more on our race team,\u201d said Linda
\nHietala. \u201cWe won\u2019t be at the track with the trailer, but we\u2019re still in
\nbusiness as usual, shipping parts and materials to teams that order from us.
\nWe were spreading ourselves a little thin between the parts trailer and
\nmaintaining the car with Chris, so we made the decision to step back from
\nthe parts trailer and put all our energy and focus into Chris\u2019 car.<\/p>\n
Hopefully we can have a better finish this season in the points standings.\u201d
\n\u201cBrad and Linda have done an amazing job for us,\u201d said SMS COO\/GM Mark
\nArute. \u201cThey were an instrumental partner for us these last 9 years and
\nthey set the bar pretty high for customer service on race nights. While
\nBrad and Linda are leaving some pretty big shoes to fill, we\u2019re confident
\nthat Ken Barry and SPAFCO will be able to fill those shoes and deliver to
\nour competitors the same high level of customer service that Brad and Linda
\nhave been offering in the paddock area every Friday night for the last 9
\nyears.\u201d<\/p>\n
SPAFCO Race Chassis is an award winning chassis and race car parts
\nfabrication company located at #4 Route 165A in Preston, Connecticut. After
\n50 years of building winning race cars, Ken\u2019s father Art Barry decided it
