But the Hietalas made the decision to focus their<br \/>\nefforts on their #9 SK Modified\u00ae with driver Chris Matthews for the 2012<br \/>\nseason, opening the door for someone to take over the parts vendor position,<br \/>\nand SPAFCO Race Chassis filled that opening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe decided that we were going to focus more on our race team,\u201d said Linda<br \/>\nHietala.  \u201cWe won\u2019t be at the track with the trailer, but we\u2019re still in<br \/>\nbusiness as usual, shipping parts and materials to teams that order from us.<br \/>\nWe were spreading ourselves a little thin between the parts trailer and<br \/>\nmaintaining the car with Chris, so we made the decision to step back from<br \/>\nthe parts trailer and put all our energy and focus into Chris\u2019 car.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully we can have a better finish this season in the points standings.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cBrad and Linda have done an amazing job for us,\u201d said SMS COO\/GM Mark<br \/>\nArute.  \u201cThey were an instrumental partner for us these last 9 years and<br \/>\nthey set the bar pretty high for customer service on race nights.  While<br \/>\nBrad and Linda are leaving some pretty big shoes to fill, we\u2019re confident<br \/>\nthat Ken Barry and SPAFCO will be able to fill those shoes and deliver to<br \/>\nour competitors the same high level of customer service that Brad and Linda<br \/>\nhave been offering in the paddock area every Friday night for the last 9<br \/>\nyears.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SPAFCO Race Chassis is an award winning chassis and race car parts<br \/>\nfabrication company located at #4 Route 165A in Preston, Connecticut.
