EXPANSION PLANNED FOR MARITIME MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME

PETITCODIAC, NB (July 27, 2020) – Organizers of the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHF) are planning to expand its multi-purpose facility. The addition will see a large banquet room at the site, capable of hosting larger functions including the annual MMHF Induction Ceremony. The new space will also provide much needed extra space for the MMHF museum so they can display more of the ever-growing collection of Maritime motorsports memorabilia.

A very generous $40,000 anonymous donation has kicked off fundraising efforts for the expansion, with a goal of raising $110,000. Donations can be made online at www.mmhf.ca. Companies that wish to be involved should contact the MMHF directly at 506-756-2110.

Fundraisers will also be held; anyone who can help with time or ideas can also get in touch with the MMHF at 506-756-2110.

The expansion is expected to be completed by November 2023.

While the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame was formed in 2005, it was 2009 before they had an “official” home at the complex, built for them with proceeds from government funding, donations, and fundraising. The complex houses the MMHF museum, archives, administration office, and a multi-purpose room used for private and community gatherings.
