Ryan Truax Wins at Home Track, Finally Achieving His Dream
Ryan Truax finally achieved his dream of winning a race at his home track on Sunday, taking the checkered flag at the Toyota GR Supra 300 at Barber Motorsports Park.
Truax, who grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, has been racing since he was a child. He made his professional debut in 2012, and has been racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship since 2016.
In 2012, Truax came close to winning his first race at Barber Motorsports Park. He led the race for most of the way, but was passed by eventual winner Scott Sharp in the closing laps.
