JTB Towing & Recovery offered plenty of racing excitement for the fans. Two of the three rained out features from Valley Floors night were completed, along with the ever popular kids bike races, lots of fun at intermission.
The third event from Valley Floors night that was rained out, The Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will be run on June 20th.
The feature winners of the 59th consecutive season week five sponsored by JTB Towing & Recovery were: Jason Gray in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Michael Danforth Jr in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, and Todd Buckwold in the makeup race from Valley Floors night; Shawn King in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limiteds; Will Hull in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets, Ryn Christian in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Andrew Fitzgerald in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; and in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners Kevin LaForest and in the Valley Floors makeup Madness Segment three Ryan Sayers, Madness OVERALL Riley Chaffe.
The six-time track champion found himself in a position he hadn’t been in in six years over a quarter of the way through the season starting from the front row for his qualifier and feature event. Jason Gray was able to get the lead on lap one and never looked back as he finally scored his first win in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Max Dolliver worked his way from mid pack but would run out of time before he could set a true challenge on Gray and would settle for the second place spot. Kyle Huntington joined the pair in victory lane with his best finish of the season. Jason Horniak and Todd Buckwold rounded out the top five.
The Wells River Chevrolet-part of the Auto Saver Group DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes had plenty of track time, first with their make-up race from June 6th. Todd Buckwold would come home victorious scoring his first win in the division with Lucas Wheeler coming home in second. Michael Danforth crossed the line in third with Adam Osgood and Ali Pushee completing the top five. For their regular scheduled event Buckwold would find himself going from the penthouse to the outhouse after mechanical problems took him out of competition. Michael Danforth Jr., looking for his third championship in a row, grabbed the win over Lucas Wheeler who is still looking for his first win with Adam Osgood coming home in third. Rookies Travis King and Chris Roberts rounded out the top five.
Shawn King makes it two in a row and one up on his dad as he grabs his third win of the season in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modified Limiteds. Keegan Tabor after loosing a wheel would come back to claim second with Brian King joining the pair in victory lane in third. Jordan Robinson and Lucas Balch completed the top five.
Will Hull finally makes it back to victory lane on top in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets beating out Brandon Piastka and narrowing his points lead for the title. John Forlano takes home third with Nick Fretto and Chris Murray rounding out the top five. The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets return to action June 20th.
The High-Country Dispensaries Late Models final made it twenty laps with Ryan Christian beating out Kelly Miller sr. for the win. Tim Higgins takes home third with Kevin Smith hailing all the way from Cananda and Tim Beard completing the top five. The High-Country Dispensaries Late Models will be off June 20th and return to action on June 27th.
Everyone knows when Andrew Fitzgerals is in the house in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, as he has made the trek over the mountain twice, and has come out on top of the mountain both times when the checkers waved. Fitzgerald would get to the front by halfway leaving Mike Mann and Tim Tucker wondering what they need to do to get that first win. Fitzgerald picked up Tucker along the way who both would get by Mann. John Fields was able to get by Mann to claim the final victory lane spot, leaving Mike Mann crossing the line in fourth with Tyler Fellows rounding out the top five.
The Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners would first complete their madness event with the final of three thirty lap segments. The segment winner would be Ryan Sayers with Riley Chaffee in second and Doug Boucher in third. The overall for the points is recorded as Riley Chaffee the winner with Ryan Sayers second and Katie Burroughs third. Kevin LaForest and Zach Audet completed the top five. For the regular scheduled night another five cars were able to take the green and when the checkers waved on lap twenty Kevin LaForest was finally able to cross the line first, beating out Doug Boucher who crossed in second and Zach Audet third. Ryan Sayers and Riley Chaffe rounded out the top five.
