(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2nd consecutive season, Casagrande Builders of Stafford, CT will present an extra distance Street Stock event at Stafford Speedway. Set for a 30-lap distance this Friday’s Casagrande Builders Street Stock 30 will serve as the 2nd leg of the RSMPCO.com Street Stock Triple Crown.
“The Street Stocks are one of my favorite divisions,” explained Rick Casagrande of Casagrande Builders. “These are the guys and girls that really appreciate bonus money whenever I’ts put up. We’re excited to be able to give back and add a little more excitement to the Triple Crown.”

This week’s feature will pay $500 to win, which is great money for these teams.”
The first of three RSMPCO.com Triple Crown events was held on opening day and was won by Springfield, MA native Mike Hopkins. Hopkins and his #78 team are the current leaders of the Triple Crown Standings entering the Casagrande Builders Street Stock 30 with 16 points. Meghan Fuller, Travis Hydar, and Zack Robinson are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th with 15, 14, and 13 points respectively.
Points for the Triple Crown are awarded based on finishing position in each of the Triple Crown events while also awarding bonus points for drivers who attend other Stafford events. For each RSMPCO.com Triple Crown Event (May 4, June 21, Sept. 28) the winning driver will receive 10 points with each subsequent position worth one point less down to 1 point for a 10th place finish. Drivers will also earn 1 point for each start they make during the 2019 season in a non-Triple Crown event.
Stafford’s SK Modifieds®, Late Models, SK Lights, and Limited Late Models join the Street Stocks in feature action this Friday, June 21 as part of the Casagrande Builders 30, race #2 of the RSMPCO.com Street Stock Triple Crown. Tickets for this Friday night’s event are $18.50 for adults, $5.00 for kids 6-14, and as always 5 & under are free. Reserved seating is priced at $20.00 for all ages. All tickets include 10% CT Admission Tax. General admission gates open at 5:15pm, with qualifying races beginning at 6:15pm and feature races to follow.
