MIKEY FLYNN CHASING FIRST CAREER WIN IN SK LIGHT MODIFIEDS® AT THOMPSON SPEEDWAY MOTORSPORTS PARK

THOMPSON, Conn. — Mikey Flynn is chasing his first checkered flag in Thompson’s SK Light Modified® division, and he is getting closer each time he hits the track.

The Hampden, Massachusetts, driver is just 17-years-old, and started his racing career behind the wheel of a snowmobile before moving into auto racing. Since then, running in the open-wheel modifieds might have been his ultimate goal, but he spent his time in multiple different divisions before getting to this point.

THOMPSON SPEEDWAY BACK IN ACTION WITH NWAAS & LOCK CITY DRIFT THIS SUNDAY

THOMPSON, Conn. — Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park’s successful month of June will conclude in style on Sunday.

All five NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions will compete, joined by Lock City Drift, with their second round of the Street Series planned.

Fans can watch the slip and sliding of drifting action, along with the high-speed competition of open-wheel modifieds and full-fendered race cars, all for just $18.

THOMPSON, Conn. – Last Saturday was a special day for the Christopher family.

Mike Christopher Jr. climbed from his car victorious in the 30-lap Sunoco Modified feature at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, picking up his first career win at the .625-mile oval. The win meant a lot to Christopher and his father, Mike Christopher Sr., especially because of the hard work they had been putting in to get to that point.

Waterbury, VT – Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert pulled away late to win a barnburner in the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Thompson 75 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway on Saturday, June 15. Hebert got the top spot for good from E. Bridgewater, MA’s Ryan Kuhn on lap 67 after multiple lead changes during the closing stages and held on from there to earn the $5,000 victory in round two of the Summer Kickoff Series.

Thompson, CT – Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert pulled away late to win a barnburner in the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Thompson 75 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway on Saturday, June 15. Hebert got the lead for good from E. Bridgewater, MA’s Ryan Kuhn on lap 67 after the two had swapped the lead multiple times during the events closing stages. He then took advantage of a slugfest for the runner-up spot to earn the $5,000 victory in round two of the Summer Kickoff Series.

JARED ROY OFF TO STRONG START IN THOMPSON MINI STOCKS

THOMPSON, Conn. – Jared Roy almost had two wins in a row in the Mini Stock division.

As part of the Thompson 125 last week, Roy went into turn three on the final lap side-by-side with Scott Michalski headed for the final stretch. When they crossed the finish line, it was Michalski who was celebrating after winning by just .002 seconds.
