Roger Turbush made history at Riverhead Raceway this past Saturday, finally ending a seven-year winless streak in the NASCAR Modified series. The victory marked his first career win in the Modified class, bringing a long-awaited triumph to the driver and his team.
The feature event saw Turbush lead wire-to-wire to secure the win, demonstrating that patience paid off for the third-generation driver. While he celebrated his success, the day was also packed with action across various classes at the track.
In the Late Model competition, Dave Brigati took the top spot, while other drivers battled for podium finishes in the Modified and other specialty events. Other notable results included Chris Rogers securing second place, and Allan Pedersen taking a win in the Figure Eight event.
The day was also competitive across the board, with multiple drivers achieving strong finishes in the Truck Enduro and Street Stock classes, showcasing the diverse talent competing at Riverhead Raceway.
