The Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds returned to the track at Riverhead Raceway for the 7th annual Oval Speed Bubba 150. This special event serves as the first of five extra-distance races for the Ted Christopher Cup, offering drivers over $14,000 in prize money and lap awards.
The focus remains squarely on the championship chase. Chase Grennan, who secured a payday at the previous Bubba 150, is now joined by his brother Owen as they battle for the 2026 NASCAR Modified championship. Owen currently holds a six-point advantage over three other drivers who are tied for second in the current standings.
The point standings show a tight race for the top spots, with Chase Grennan and Matt Brode sitting in a tie for fifth place. Other contenders like Kyle Elllwood, Roger Turbush, Cory Midgett, and Dylan Slepian are also vying for positions among the top ten.
Beyond the Modified action, the facility hosted other competitive events throughout the weekend, including INEX Legend Race Car contests featuring drivers like Jim Laird and Riely O'Keefe, as well as Street Stock and Mini Stock competition.
