Paulie Hartwig III secured a significant victory at the Race of Champions Modified Series, taking home the win at Evans Mills Raceway Park on June 29, 2026. Starting from the 11th position, Hartwig drove the Bob Johnson Auto Group Rocket 76’er to claim his first career championship in the series.

The battle for the top spot was fiercely contested throughout the event. One of the most accomplished Modified racers of the modern era, Matt Hirschman, immediately challenged for the lead, quickly moving past pole sitter Austin Beers and controlling the opening half of the race.

As the action continued, Hartwig worked his way through the field to close the gap on the leader. The duel between Hartwig and Hirschman became a highlight, with both drivers battling side-by-side for several thrilling laps before Hartwig finally managed to pass and claim the victory.

Patrick Emerling finished in second place, while Matt Hirschman took the podium spot in third. Austin Beers finished fourth, having started from the pole position earlier in the race. This win marks a major milestone for Hartwig in his career within the Modified ranks.
