Carson Loftin dominated the chaotic SMART Modified Tour event at Caraway Speedway during the Revolutionary 99. The race was severely impacted by nine cautions and two red flags, making it a challenging affair for anyone looking to maintain consistency.
Loftin started on pole position but struggled to find a groove throughout the event due to the frequent stoppages. While one long green flag run suggested Danny Bohn might have contended for the victory, numerous cautions at the end prevented him from passing Loftin. Loftin was incredibly thankful for the opportunity and the fast racecar provided.
The tension escalated during the final restarts when a significant incident occurred down the backstretch involving Brandon Ward and Jake Crum. This contact led to a chain reaction that involved Joey Braun, resulting in several drivers having to retire from the race following the checkup.
Despite the drama, Loftin ultimately secured the stage win after navigating the yellow flags. Danny Bohn finished in second place, with Burt Myers rounding out the podium. The Revolutionary 99 remains a major stop on the SMART Modified Tour.
