Vinny Rappoccio Claims First Career SK Light Modified Victory at Speedbowl

Rookie driver Vinny Rappoccio secured his first career victory in the SK Light Modified class at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl this past Saturday. Rappoccio rallied to take the checkered flag in the feature, marking a significant achievement for the Southington driver.

The action at the Speedbowl featured several strong performances across various classes. In the SK Light Modified event, Rappoccio outperformed the field. Other notable results included Leo Nunes of Somers finishing second and Kevin Cormier of Agawam, Mass. in third place.

Beyond the modified classes, other features saw competitive racing. Jason Palmer of Berlin took the win in the 30-lap Late Model feature, achieving his second victory of the season. Ryan Lineham of Hope Valley, R.I. also won the 25-lap Truck feature.

Jack Emerson of Columbia claimed the win in the 20-lap Crown Vic feature. The SK Modified, Street Stock, and Mini Stock features were unfortunately canceled due to inclement weather.
