The New England Supermodified Series (NESS) is set to bring its top talent to the famed Thompson Speedway this Wednesday, July 8, for the annual Twisted Tea Winged Wednesday event. This midweek showdown promises high-octane action as drivers compete on the long straightaways and highbanked corners of the track.
In the Supermodified competition, defending series champion Jeffrey Battle continues his strong run, holding a healthy twenty-two-point lead over Dan Bowes. The competition is fierce, especially at Thompson, where Bowes has already secured three NESS victories on the 5/8-mile oval.
The action extends beyond the Supermodifieds as other classes are also running strong. In the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds, drivers are vying for the lead, with Keith Rocco in pursuit of the win. Similarly, in the SK Light Modifieds, Kevin Davis is leading the standings after securing two wins this season.
Other series are also featured, including the Late Models and Street Stocks, which have seen multiple winners throughout the season. The event also features the Crown Vics returning to Thompson for a 20-lap main event, making Twisted Tea Winged Wednesday a full-spectrum motorsports spectacle.
