The NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts is set to return to Riverhead Raceway this Friday night with a packed five-division program. The main attractions will feature the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modified 25-lap feature, kicking off the action alongside the Long Island debut of the unique Tip the Cow race.

The competition for the Crate Modified title is heating up among several young veterans. Richie Davidowitz of East Moriches holds a slim two-point lead over AJ DeSantis of Yaphank, who won the opening night feature back in May. Michael Berner of Patchogue also remains in contention with four points out of the lead, while Michael Berner of Patchogue secured the June 6th feature win.

Beyond the Modifieds, the INEX Legend Race Car feature draws attention to drivers like Riely O’Keefe of Manorville, who currently enjoys a comfortable 28-point margin over Anthony Marsh of Riverhead. Ryan Zukowski of Riverhead is also perfect for the 2026 season, having won all three 20-lap main events in the Mini Stock championship. Other drivers are making strong showings, including Jim Laird Jr., who has swept recent events, and Tom Puccia.

Once the main racing concludes, the event will feature a unique addition: the Tip the Cow race. In this novelty contest, drivers must attempt to tip over either a Mini School Bus or Minivan circulating the track to claim victory, adding an unpredictable element to Friday’s program.
