Patrick Emerling achieved a major milestone at Claremont Motorsports Park this past Friday, securing a victory in the Whelen Modified Tour Clash. This win marks his first victory of the 2026 season and propelled him to the top of the Whelen Modified Tour standings midway through the schedule.
Emerling demonstrated dominant driving skill throughout the 150-lap event. He held the lead over Matt Hirschman from lap 96 until the finish, showcasing exceptional control over the competition. This victory is significant as it represents his tenth career win in the Whelen Modified Tour series.
The race featured strong competition among the field. Jon McKennedy finished in third place, while Matt Hirschman secured second position. Despite facing challenges, Emerling’s team demonstrated incredible determination to secure the win.
