Stafford Notes: Ryan Waterman Remains On Fiery Run With Sixth Consecutive Street Stock Win

RaceDayCT·

The Street Stock division at Stafford Speedway in 2026 has seen intense competition, with many drivers vying to interrupt Ryan Waterman's impressive run. Waterman celebrated a significant milestone by securing his sixth consecutive victory in the Street Stock feature on Friday.

This win added to an already dominant season for the Danielson veteran, who had amassed eight wins overall. While Waterman was celebrating, other competitors also achieved success; he finished fourth in both of the Street Stock events at Stafford this year, behind Kolton Gambacorta and Jason Raymond.

The action during the race featured several close calls as drivers battled for position. During one restart with eight laps remaining, Waterman managed to pass Scott Sundeen for second before a caution flag was thrown due to a wreck on the frontstretch. Subsequent restarts saw complex maneuvering between Waterman, Brent Gleason, PJ Evans, and Kolton Gambacorta as they fought for track position.

Beyond the Street Stock action, other features also saw notable results. Chris Matthews achieved his second win of the season in the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, while Travis Hydar secured his second victory in the Limited Sportsman feature.
