Bonus And Lap Money Announced For Two TK Twin 9 Figure Eight Events At Riverhead Raceway

RaceDayCT·

Riverhead Raceway is celebrating the legacy of Figure Eight icon Tom Kraft with the 4th annual Two for TK Twin 9 races. The event features not only the main action but also significant bonus and lap money awards, with prizes potentially reaching as much as $2,470. This Saturday night action will also feature NASCAR Local Racing Series events, including Buzz Chew NASCAR Modifieds and a School Bus Demolition Derby.

Erin Larsen-Delaney revealed the details of the financial incentives for the races. Depending on the number of cars starting, prize money will be distributed among the top three finishers. If ten or more cars start, the distribution includes $300, $150, and $50 for the top three. If fewer than ten cars participate, an additional $250 is added to the top three payouts.

Beyond the race bonuses, several unique awards were announced, including a $100 Oval Speed fastest lap award and a $100 Jim Sylvester Most Laps Led award in memory of Sara Sylvester. Other accolades include prizes for best average finishes and special bonus spots for drivers like Joe Conlon.

The lap money distribution is structured to reward the field, with the first $360 distributed traditionally among the leaders, and the remaining funds being divided throughout the field. This exciting event also brings together a competitive field of drivers hoping to find success Saturday, including Allan Pedersen, Scott Pedersen, Gary Fritz Jr., and Will Farrell.
