The highbanks of Barre’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl are set to host the annual Times Argus Midseason Championships this Thursday. The event promises double points and the NESTN.tv Double Purse, adding significant stakes to the competition for the season. In addition to the championship race, fans can look forward to an annual autograph session on the schedule.

The Late Model division is heating up as drivers battle for supremacy. Jason Corliss continues to lead the Maplefields/Irving Late Model standings following a strong performance last week. Christopher Pelkey and Bobby Therrien are also actively hunting for their second King of the Road track championship, hoping to gain ground with the added double points available.

In other classes, action is equally compelling. Brendan Moodie expanded his lead atop the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers after a dominant run in the Myers Container 75 lapper. Meanwhile, Logan Powers returned to form with a strong third-place finish, positioning him as a serious contender for the Midseason Championship checkers. Tyler Wheatley also made significant gains in the rk Miles Street Stock mountain.

Other competitors are also vying for recognition, including Derrick Calkins, Matt Ballard, Luke Peters, and Eric Chase in the 75 lapper category. The event brings together various classes, including the Late Models, Flying Tigers, Street Stocks, and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors, all competing for top honors at Thunder Road.
